I work in health and human services earning a little more than minimum wage. It’s very hard to pay all my bills on time. My partner and I get paid once a month. I have to make pay arrangements. I have no health insurance through work. $15/hr would help a bit.

I work at a fast food restaurant and I make 12.15/hr. I have two kids and one on the way. This [ballot initiative] could help me with three kids.

No family should struggle to provide necessities for their family, especially when they are working full time. Corporations are getting richer while families are struggling and it’s disgusting! The cost of living is and continues to increase so should wages so families can survive.

The cost of living is very high. Without citizenship, food stamps, or medicaid, it’s very hard to pay for the things I need to live. Work is all we do.

Minimum wage increase [is] badly needed. [I] worked minimum wage and was required to purchase work clothing. Therefore, I earned less than minimum wage. Complaint pending with Dept. of Labor.
